Excellent Manny, another masterpiece! Vehicles and figures are perfectly painted and I especially admire the base with the cobblestone and guard house. Great work! Merry Christmas - Fohe Weihnachten and a Happy New Year! Lars -

"Honorary award", not military for sure. Walheim is a town in southwest Germany. Maybe (19)31 is the year? My first guess would be a shooting club medal but I will do some more research. -

Just a nice honest uniform in the proper WWII configuration as opposed to the post war style with the rear pockets and epaulets removed. Same story with the M39 helmet, it still retains the WWII leather liner and chin strap as opposed to the 50s modified canvas style. One day I will get it all on a mannequin with the proper equipment and boots. Scott -

Hello, I'm not an expert on Spanges, I'll defer to the more knowledgeable guys here for a better assessment. Maybe it's just the photo, but it appears to have pitting in the metal. Is that correct? That usually indicates a cast fake or possibly a ground dug item. Let's see what the others say : ) -

Thank you. Can I ask how you can tell the Spange is a fake? Would they have done fakes near the war time? The only thing I can think is that he bought that one thinking it was real. He collected so much war time memorabilia, I don't see how he could have brought all this back with him and he died before internet, I found these when I was cleaning out basement shelves, forgot they were there. I am wondering, do people buy these as fakes? Assuming they cannot be worth the same money but is there a market for these?
