Very nice Attila. The unit was part of 3rd Cavalry Brigade 32, garrisoned in Bautzen.

If it´s not an uniform of a specific IDed soldier one could add some collar insignia and shoulder boards IMHO.

Thanks Sarge, I appreciate the information.  Makes sense they were probably popular for the younger youths and politically correct to do at the time.  

Your buckle is marked "DRGM" which dates it to pre-1945 manufacture.  I have seen these buckles before but most collectors seem to think these may be civilian buckles since they seem to fit on a cloth belt.  The swastika could indicate the NSDAP or be a good luck sign.   Let's see what others think.

Hello everyone I hope you are all having a great day, I have recently got my first Easter German uniform. I believe it is NVA officer uniform please correct me if I am wrong. Would it be bad if I put shoulder boards and collar patches on it, I would love your opinion 

Here's an Attila of a Lieutenant the 3rd Royal Saxon Hussar Regiment Nr. 20, the unit was formed only in 1910, and apparently never had a Full Color Attila, just a Field Grey one, with  Field Grey frogging. the frogging  and shoulder straps in the Saxon State Colors of Green intertwined. The Light Blue Waffenfarbe  is the Regimental  Color, in example the unit's  Muetze's Cap Band was Light Blue.

A FJ with a custom made tunic, Italy 1944, in imitation of the British BD no doubt.

I recently picked up this buckle which looks to be a DJ buckle.  Just looking for more information on it and what insight seasoned collectors may be able to provide.  It is a small buckle which measures 1 7/8 inches across and is about 1 1/2 inches tall.
