Yeah,  I think after more research that it is good Mr Jerry.  I also read an article about the zig zag stitching being used in that era for more protection against fraying etc while washing. It seems Bevo style of machine woven…..thanks for your input Jerry, much appreciated🙏👍🏻

I think it looks ok and I like the zig-zag stitching on the background.

PS. Furthermore I am realizing that it is very well made under microscopic examination which points to it NOT being a cheap repro, so im quite optimistic of its authenticity 🤔

Hi Guys   I recently purchased an : Original WW2 Kriegsmarine embroidered breast eagle on felt backing.   Now it has arrived I am a bit skeptical... it looks new-ish, but then again it could be real just never used.   What do say? real issue?   Description on website ORIGINAL WW2 GERMAN KREIGSMARINE SILK WOVEN BREAST EAGLE ON FELT BACKING VERY NICE PIECE WITH ONE MOTH HOLE TO TOP LEFT EAGLE IS 121mm WIDE,    About section:   Butlers Military & Vintage Butler’s Military and Vintage is a retail outlet created in 2004, and set up in Normandy for the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The retail premises in France have now closed, but we will continue to serve collectors worldwide by mail and also by appointment from our new premises in the UK. This website has been created solely for the original items that were on sale in the shop in Sainte Mere Eglise. I have been dealing full time in militaria since 1982.   there is also an re-enactors sister site by same company, but this was purchased from the originals store.   Anyone else dealt with this company before?   any feedback would be great

Very nice Attila. The unit was part of 3rd Cavalry Brigade 32, garrisoned in Bautzen.

If it´s not an uniform of a specific IDed soldier one could add some collar insignia and shoulder boards IMHO.

Thanks Sarge, I appreciate the information.  Makes sense they were probably popular for the younger youths and politically correct to do at the time.

Your buckle is marked "DRGM" which dates it to pre-1945 manufacture.  I have seen these buckles before but most collectors seem to think these may be civilian buckles since they seem to fit on a cloth belt.  The swastika could indicate the NSDAP or be a good luck sign.   Let's see what others think.

Hello everyone I hope you are all having a great day, I have recently got my first Easter German uniform. I believe it is NVA officer uniform please correct me if I am wrong. Would it be bad if I put shoulder boards and collar patches on it, I would love your opinion

Here's an Attila of a Lieutenant the 3rd Royal Saxon Hussar Regiment Nr. 20, the unit was formed only in 1910, and apparently never had a Full Color Attila, just a Field Grey one, with  Field Grey frogging. the frogging  and shoulder straps in the Saxon State Colors of Green intertwined. The Light Blue Waffenfarbe  is the Regimental  Color, in example the unit's  Muetze's Cap Band was Light Blue.

A FJ with a custom made tunic, Italy 1944, in imitation of the British BD no doubt.
