Different factories have different production techniques, and is also dependant on the materials available. Both examples you've posted with the two line stitch and the dog teeth stitches are authentic. -

First of all, the lack of a collar lining doesn't make a uniform fake. Those are usually sewn on by the soldiers themselves and replaced every once in a while. I have several early original KPA uniforms with production stamps which didn't have any collar linings when I bought them. -

Thanks everyone for the solution! Legion of Spanish War Veterans. Was in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Merged into United Spanish War Veterans in 1906. Your pin is missing the H of New Hampshire. -

I stopped at a coin shop today that occasionally gets militaria. I'm not a cross collector per se but do have a half dozen that I include in shadow boxes. Hope it's a real vintage piece!
