that's a very round rock... Agreed I also would've been pretty happy to find that regardless of origin LOL

I knew I recognized that picture. I remember reading George Peterson’s for sale list and looking everything up in the Davis book.

The place selling it did mention the lining had been removed for what it's worth. Here is the description: Original Polizei Tunic, Shako and Belt of a WWII German Rural Gendarmerie. An exquisite grouping that displays in a truly fantastic manner. The Shako is made by Robert Lubstein/EREL and is a Size 57 ½. The tunic is for a Meister and is about a size 38. Both ribbons are included. Sleve linings have been removed. Possibly done by the original owner. Cuff buttons were are held on by safty pins. The parade stylem belt is made by and marked Ekso Prima. Size 96. Aluminum Polizei buckle is unmarked. The cross strap is SS marked.    Not sure if that adds anything or not to go off of.   I really appreciate the feedback!

Preppy Picker is correct. The picture shows members of Kavallerie Regiment 6 who wore the "Schwedter Adler" at their hat. Referring to Brian Davis´uniform book the picture was taken at the Normandy, June 6th, 1944 and the soldiers were captured by the British.

Like Leigh at a glance it all looks pretty good. One thing that concerns me are the unlined sleeves. I think someone might have changed the shoulder boards and didn’t finish the job. Both sleeves have this same unfinished look. just an afterthought, shouldn’t the belt be brown?
