Leutnant Werner Stehle was evidently in the Army initially, in the 97th  Jäger Division, his job not mentioned, he evidently transfers to the Air Force, the  21. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division, again job not mentioned, then 7. Fallschirmjäger-Division, once again no idea what he is.   Becomes an Officer at one point, and becomes a member of one of those Air Force Assault Gun Brigades, till the end of the war, in this case Fallschirm-Sturmgeschütz Brigade 12 (mot).   Here he is in the Field Grey Panzer Uniform with Air Force insignia.

Hey, thanks for the comment! No, the navy lid is in original green paint and I have not touched that one, I only stripped the tan spray painted army shell. The green Navy helmet was a Vet bring back, he was detailed to bury the dead on Saipan after the battle, wish it still had the insignia on it!

Some more photos. This Stug has 19 kill rings on the barrel and is believed to be the vehicle of Leutnant Werner Stehle, KC 28 apr 1945 as he was the only one with 19 kills. It is reported that the Stug will go to Munster and will be conserved in its current condition, not restored.

Unlike TR lids I've never seen a Japanese helmet with a lot number, yes Diado steel, and crossed cannons is Osaka. I think one or both of these lids were reissued post war and they are both large size. They were also primed in orange. Always post photos first before stripping any paint, you can't undo mistakes when stripping helmets only ruin them!! You may have stripped off the original paint and primer off lid #2, ouch! 😱

Just seen what this is, it is a cut down regular m35 or M40 experimental tank crew helmet.   Info is from  Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army: 1933-1945. Vol 3. Angolia, John R.; Schlicht, Adolf

This a known as a Kothimora  Kukris under this category can actually be used however the main purpose is for display due to its extraordinary sheath. The sheath is made from pure silver and is totally handcrafted. Kothimoras (kukris with silver scabbard). It is a custom and tradition in Nepal to give away Kothimoras as gift on special occasion and events to thank and honor worthy action/deed. Kothimoras are also given to an retiring Gurkha Army officer as an honor.    this is a great Khukri. I would say it dates to the 1930s

Ok, added a thin layer of chestnut brown, looks ok. Turns out the liner kit I bought doesn’t fit.    Here’s an original I found online for comparison.

Oof. That is NOT brown. It looks like Dijon mustard. Dang it True Value, glad I only spent $7 for that paint.
