Peter O'Toole wears the British 18th Infantry Division patch in a publicity shot for the 1959 West End play The Long and the Short and the Tall, story takes place in Singapore in 1942. Two errors here, one, the wearing of Formation Signs were not done in 1941-42 really. and two. he's wearing the Jungle Green Post WWII Shirt it seems, in Malaya the Khaki Drill stuff was worn. -

The Scoville mark really threw me but I'm seeing examples on ebay. The Spanish Royal Regiment of Sapper-Miner! I have one in my ebay store. https://www.ebay.com/itm/356619725129? -

Somewhere around 40 years ago I bought a few Spanish uniform buttons that were reportedly picked up in Cuba after the Spanish American War of 1898. Most of them have a Paris backmark. But one does have a Scovill backmark. mikie -

These have some old Scoville backmarks but look to be 19th century Spanish infantry. -

These came from the collection of a friend who downsized to move into a retirement community. -
