I think you could buy hats with all this brick-a-brack attached as souvenirs in Russia. IMHO, hilariously, ridiculously over priced. -

The originals always seem to have far better detail and materials used IMO. Cheers -

I think daskrieg is correct. A so called "Fahnenschuh" (flag shoe). Usually they were attached to a larger belt. Mounted flag bearers used to attach them to the stirrups, so Cavalry would make sense. -

Noticed these 3 groups in a local thrift store (usa) and curious if there is anything of interest -

German Equipment Leather Cover. This leather cone is 3 1/2" long. About 5/8" in diameter at the small end, 1 1/4" at the large end. As with many pre-war German leather pieces of equipment, it is beautifully made and nicely maker marked and dated. The marking is; "E. G. Leuner, Bautzen, 1935". It came to me with some German Cavalry items. Does anyone have an idea what it is for? -

Thanks Proud Kraut! It's wonderful when something looks like it came out of a time capsule. -

A Custom made jacket, made in the Pattern of that Windproof Mountain Troops Jacket. Waffen SS worn, probably by a Officer of the 7th SS Mountain Division Prinz Eugen in Yugoslavia -
