I got one minty 1928 out of Russia to New Zealand via a UK dealer about 12 years ago. And a Dap28(M). The Brit could import them into the UK provided the didn’t remain in the country other than to then re ship. It was probably a bit ‘dodgy’, but we got many minty firearms (fully functional) into NZ this way.

I did the Static Line Cse at PTSU to earn mine. I was TF. The ‘wings’ were the only dress embellishment we had to sexy-up our JG’s. Had them for a year and wore them proudly to signal to the RF that I wasn’t a complete ‘Cut Lunch Commando’, and then the General ordered everyone to remove them from anything other than SD Jackets. TF didn’t get issued SD jackets……

Pretty rare stuff. This is a grouping of gear to a British Officer from the Royal Tank Regiment seconded to the Division to teach them how to operate Armour in a tropical environment (The Solomon Islands). Thompson is ‘live’.

A World War Two era Buren Grand prix watch re issued during the Rhodesian Bush War.         Rhodesian army issue strap with cover. these watches where issued to certain soldiers who where required to preform specific tasks, Signals pers., squad commanders and 2nd in charge. They where not on general issue to all troops. They were Class A Stores so had to be returned periodically and if you were posted to another unit or left the service you would return it to the Q Store. Due to these limitations most Officers/soldiers purchased there own watches.

These just came to the Lion and Tusk Museum,- ZANLA issued Type 56 rifles given to the Commander of operation Repulse by the commander of the liberation forces in 1980.       Stamped receiver, 40 round magazine. (Holes in the woodwork are from mounting screws used to secure the rifles to a wall.)

Recently acquired this enameled type, basic NSDAP party member badge.    Bought from VDG militaria. I believe it's an early RZM Marked badge. It's marked with an RZM stamp and number "42". As I understand the rzm code m1/42 would indicate it was made by the company Kerbach & Israel, of Dresden,( a company that would later change it's name to remove the "Israel" part for obvious reasons)    However this badge only has a "42", no "M/1" like I've seen on other badges. This makes me wonder if it was made just after the RZM system was set up in 1934, though I've read it took about 2 years before it was in full effect so everything wasn't completely standardized yet.Did the M/# prefix come later?    The badge came with its pin coated in old dried glue and ripped paper. As if the bagde was removed from a scrapbook album or something. I removed the old glue with a hobby knife. The last picture is another enameled badge with the M1/ prefix and 42 code. Typical of most party badges I've seen.

I've read that it took until 1936 to get the RZM system up to full operation. So I Imagine this was in that timeframe
