Unfortunately I can´t tell you more. I don´t know if this is a maker´s mark at all or the town´s seal to mark their property. -

As usual your skills are amazing. The opposite side of this USMC VMA-224 lighter is engraved with the pilot's name: Ray Vasconcellos. It dates to a 1957 deployment to Iwakuni. Thanks for confirming the Japanese characters for me. -

As other members have pointed out, these characters are katakana. They're probably the Japanese translation of an English-speaking male name. I'm not sure how exactly it's written, but it's pronounced something like "Re i / Ba su co n se ro su". -

Terrific! Thank you. Do you know any other information? Was it a common maker? -

The suspenders are for the M-1951 Field Pants although a late version of them. -

Hello This is a little out of my wheel house, but I thought this was a nice group of WW1 RFC and 30's RCMP Items. The lighter has a 1934 patent date.Comments Thank you -

Anyone have any ideas on what the country of origin for these are? They don't look like they're US, but could possibly just be privately made? -

Looks like katakana; harder to read than ledgible kanji. Wish I could help. -

Looks to me like a "German" imperial era FASCHINENMESSER, BUT has a serial number with no mfg or unit markerings which were all easily found on any FASCHINENMESSER I'v seen in the past. Also faschinenmesser were issued to enlisted troops. this one has a wire wrapped "bone" grip with a little more decor than you might imagine issued to non-officers. Private purchase? All comments, evals and/or opinions are welcome. Thanks for looking 🙂 -
